Certified Internal Auditor (CIA)
The Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) is the Institute's premier qualification and the final step in the Internal Auditing career path. The CIA designation indicates to employers that the internal auditor has a solid foundation of internal auditing knowledge and the ability to apply that knowledge in the workplace.
The CIA is awarded after three international examination papers have been passed with a minimum of 75% per paper. The CIA exam tests, amongst others, your knowledge of current internal auditing practices, risks and controls. Just the process of preparing for the exam will inevitably enhance your professional insight, and strengthen your grasp of the IIA’s International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing.
